When we first bought the building in 2018, we installed security cameras since we weren't living nearby. One night, we got an alert—and what we saw on the feed was incredible. It looked like two people, dressed in 1930s clothes, dancing. Intrigued, we dug into the building’s history dating back to the late 1920s and learned it was once an outfitter store, selling clothes and household supplies. We even found two vintage hat boxes in the attic, dating back to the building's early days.
We believe what we saw might’ve been a trick of light and shadow, but whether it was just that or something more, we wanted to honor the past. That’s why we brought in some history of our own: a 1953 Hammond organ with a Leslie speaker and a Werner1927 baby grand piano. Maybe the ghosts will want a little music to keep the dance going.
At Peach City Sound, we pride ourselves on delivering world-class sound with soul—and at the center of it all sits our Amek Recall 56RN mixing console. Designed by the legendary Rupert Neve, this console brings classic analog warmth and precision to every session, and it’s a big part of what makes our sonic signature so special.
The 56RN’s preamps are rich, detailed, and musical—perfect for capturing the full emotional weight of a performance, whether it's a delicate vocal or a thunderous drum take. The EQ sections are silky and versatile, letting us sculpt tones naturally without ever sounding over-processed.
With its flexible routing, pristine signal path, and timeless character, the Amek Recall 56RN perfectly complements the hybrid analog/digital workflow we’ve built at Peach City Sound. Whether we’re tracking a live band, mixing a full-length album, or running stems through outboard gear for that extra polish, this console delivers every time.
If you’re recording at Peach City Sound, know this: your music is running through one of the finest analog consoles ever made—and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
Our vocal signal chain begins with a Neumann mic—either the rich, warm M-149 or the vintage M7 capsule on the Blue Bottle, which captures that iconic U47 tone. From there, the magic flows into the Neve Portico 517 Mic Pre/Compressor, before reaching the Amek Recall
When it's time to mix, we take those beautifully captured tracks from the Amek feed them into the Neve 8816 Summing Mixer, and polish everything with the Neve Portico II Master Buss Processor—ensuring that the final mix is nothing short of world-class.
At Peach City Sound, we get pumped about every single project that comes our way! Our mission is to help musicians bring their vision to life with every note they share. We're all about quality, integrity, and having a blast while doing it. With a laid-back, creative atmosphere, we want to be the place where musicians can let loose and make some real magic happen!
"Looking to add something unique to your sound, like the soulful twang of a steel guitar or the classic groove of a Hammond organ? Or maybe you're chasing something even more distinct? At Peach City Sound, we're all about finding that special tone that sets your music apart. If we don't have it, we’ll stop at nothing to get it. As fellow musicians, we understand the art of crafting great recordings. All we need are your ideas, vision, and passion, and together we’ll create something extraordinary!"
